Senior DevOps Engineer
We are currently filling a Senior DevOps Engineer (w/m/d) role at a rapidly growing Graz-based IoT tech company.
In this position, you will be the backbone of their technical infrastructure, designing highly available cloud systems on GCP and elevating the automation of the deployment processes to the next level.
We are looking for an experienced professional who operates at the interface between development and operations to ensure a scalable, secure, and performant system landscape for smart mobility solutions, and possesses deep expertise in orchestrating container landscapes as well as Infrastructure-as-Code.
| WHAT YOU WILL DO
* Design, implement, and maintain the cloud infrastructure on GCP, prioritizing automation and scalability.
* Develop and refine CI/CD pipelines for swift and dependable software deployments.
* Administer and orchestrate containerized environments using Kubernetes (EKS).
* Create and sustain Infrastructure-as-Code implementations leveraging Terraform.
* Oversee and guarantee robust availability, optimal performance, and strong security for all systems.
* Partner with software development teams to establish and integrate DevOps best practices.
* Diagnose and resolve system issues, consistently enhancing the overall architecture.
* Research and integrate innovative technologies to fortify the platform.
| WHOM WE ARE LOOKING FOR
* Profound expertise in Linux for effective system management.
* Significant background in developing and managing cloud-native infrastructures, ideally within Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
* Proficiency in utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform for automated infrastructure provisioning.
* In-depth understanding of Docker and Kubernetes (EKS) for deploying and running contemporary applications.
* Skill in designing and overseeing streamlined Build and Deployment pipelines (e.g., using GitLab CI).
* Competence in scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation and workflow optimization.
* Familiarity with monitoring solutions like Grafana, Prometheus, or Loki to uphold system performance.
* A robust commitment to security, embedding IT security into everyday operations.
* Excellent English communication skills for collaborating with teams and creating documentation.
| REMOTE WORK POLICY
In this role, you can work hybrid remote (1 day remote) from the office in Graz. Should you relocate or travel for this role, your relocation or travel costs will naturally be covered.
